ABSTRACT:
The AdaptecŪ Family of network interface cards (NICs) maximizes the performance of servers operating on Fast Ethernet networks. For applications requiring maximum throughput, such as e-mail, database, and mission-critical, these NICs increase the performance of 32-bit and 64-bit servers.

Based on Adaptec's DuraLAN technology, the unique NIC controller on the Quartet64 provides increased bandwidth for even the most demanding networks. With full-duplex support, the Quartet64 achieves a maximum throughput of 800 Mb per second. This NIC can be used in conjunction with other Adaptec NICs to increase flexibility, performance, and cabling compatibility, and it provides an easy migration path from Ethernet to Fast Ethernet.
