ABSTRACT:
The Accelerator 1800 Series is Expand's entry-level application traffic management appliance for low-speed remote sites. It allows the enterprise to efficiently perform regular backups, better support peak-period transaction processing requirements of small branch offices, and provide the acceleration necessary for Web-based applications and services. The Accelerator 1800 allows effective transfer in excess of the physical link speed by reducing latency and packet loss with standard TCP acceleration (based on SCPS).

The Accelerator 1800 Series can be installed in minutes by non-technical personnel to immediately increase WAN capacity and application performance to broadband levels. It can support mesh networks and is deployed either On-Path between the LAN segment and router or On-LAN by connecting it non-obtrusively to the switch or router. It includes fail-to-wire functionality and support for standard failover protocols to ensure maximum uptime and availability.
