NEB turned first to Navigate Storage, a local systems integrator specializing in storage, backup, and remote replication solutions. NEB's IS Manager Ruben Melo's detailed list of requirements included a minimum of one terabyte capacity and a system that could support multiple operating system platforms, including Sun Solaris, Windows® 2000, and Macintosh® OSx; highly scalable storage to meet NEB's future needs; and strong price-performance to support his limited IT budget.
Navigate Storage recommended a one-gigabit SANbloc RAID system from Adaptec. "Adaptec leads the industry in reliability, and its technical support is outstanding," said James R. Addlesberger, Chairman and CEO, Navigate Storage. Adaptec worked with Navigate Storage at the customer's location to design and deploy a high-availability, highly scalable Adaptec solution featuring dual controllers, Fibre Channel connections, and one terabyte of storage capacity.
