IT is in no way immune to the continuously changing business climate. CIOs are faced with currents of supply and demand, ROI and remaining ahead of the competition everyday. Therefore the need for a tight linkage between business objectives and IT becomes essential. This white paper discusses a two-part solution to these challenges. First is the Adaptive Enterprise strategy, which helps enterprises successfully align their IT capabilities with the needs of their business. Implementing this Adaptive Enterprise strategy can, however, requires significant changes to legacy IT infrastructure, software, and management. The second part of this paper proposes that outsourcing the transition to a more agile model may be the best way to make that transition a smooth and successful one.
